“In the aftermath of hurricane Ike in Texas I was amazed to see how many people did not heed the warnings nor, did they prepare for the devastation that occurred. It is unfortunate that after witnessing so much devastation in the past few seasons so many still haven’t taken these storms seriously. If not for themselves then they should do it for their children and their animals that depend on them! Evacuate if you are asked to evacuate! Please take the time now to make a plan for YOUR FAMILY, pets included." --- Connie Brooks, SPCA Tampa Bay Operations Director and Chair/Bay Area DART
