Lost & found pet assistance

Many pets that come to us via the 24-hour ambulance services are animals that owners are desparately trying to find. That is why  SPCA Tampa Bay serves as a "lost & found" resource for pets and their owners. In addition to the 24-hour emergency ambulance service, we provide emergency medical care, shelter and food for these animals. We scan them for microchips and make every effort to return them to their owners.

Our match-up service helps reunite lost pets with their owners. The process begins when you call or visit us in Largo. We will ask you to complete a lost pet information form. You will be invited to accompany a staff member through the shelter to see if your pet is here. You will also be given a checklist of things to do in your community to aid you in your search. If your pet is located, you will be contacted immediately. Call 727-586-3591, ext. 144 for assistance.
