TBBTA 14th Annual Fundraiser, 6:30pm - 9pm, Sheraton Suites Airport (4400 West Cypress Street, Tampa)
Tampa Bay Business Travel Association (TBBTA) has partnered with SPCA Tampa Bay for their 14th annual fundraiser benefitting local programs sponsored by SPCA Tampa Bay and TBBTA Educational Fund. The fundraiser’s “Unconditional Love, Share It!” theme highlights the urgency to restore the health and spirit of the many animals that are abandoned or abused in Tampa Bay. Admission is $40 members and $30 guests. Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy cash-bar cocktails and appetizers and live and silent auctions. All monetary contributions, donations and proceeds collected during this event will be divided between SPCA Tampa Bay and TBBTA Education Fund. Pet overpopulation remains a huge problem. SPCA Tampa Bay cares for more than 15,000 homeless, unwanted and abused animals each year. An estimated 8 million animals nationwide – or 1 animal every 4 seconds – become homeless and unwanted each year. Only through educating the public on the importance of spaying/neutering their pets and adopting pets from shelters can we make a difference. Friday, September 17th
Tampa Bay Rays Community Corner, 5pm - 8pm at Devil Rays Stadium in downtown St. Petersburg. If SPCA Tampa Bay adoptable animals are there, then take me out to the ballgame! Have fun with SPCA Tampa Bay staff, volunteers and adoptable dogs as they raise money for homeless, abused and stray animals. This fun event is a preface to the photo and autograph session with Devil Rays Pitcher Grant Balfour the very next day!
Saturday, September 18th
1st Annual Rose & Blane Bridal n'Unique Boutique Adopt-a-thon, 11am - 3pm at 12749 W Hillsborough Ave, Ste A in Tampa, FL 33635. Bridal parties and animal lovers are invited to attend this unique bridla event where adoptable pets are the main attraction. Some of SPCA Tampa Bay's finest dogs and cats will be avilable for adoption. Attending guests are asked to donate animal wishlist items including wet/dry cat and dog food, baby blankets, paper towels, collars, leashes, kitty litter and new puppy and kitten toys to support the more than 15,000 homeless, abused and stray animals that pass through the Shelter's doors each year.
Thursday, September 23rd
Happy Hour with the Dogs, 5pm - 7pm at 400 Beach Seafood & Tap House (corner of Beach Dr and 5th Ave in downtown St Pete, across from the Vinoy). Build excitement for the 3K Pet Walk and rally our teams to reach their fundraising goals. All 3K Pet Walk proceeds directly benefit the homeless, abused and neglected animals at SPCA Tampa Bay. Saturday, September 25th
Lowe's Disaster Prepardeness Weekend and Adopt-a-thon 10am - 2pm, 11101 Ulmerton Rd in Largo. To save people and animals' lives, SPCA Tampa Bay and Lowe's are collabroating for a one day awarness and adopt-a-thon event to protect pet woners and theor 4-footed companions from emergency and natural disaster situations. The Bay Area Disater Animal Response Team (DART) will be on-hand as well. Attendees are asked to proved wish list items including: wet/dry cat and dog food, baby blankets, towels, paper towels, leashes, collars, kitty litter and new puppy and kitten toys to ensure our animals are cared for during their temporary stay at our Shelter.
Sunday, September 26th
First Annual "Bark" Mitzvah & Pet Blessing, Noon (with lunch to follow), Temple Beth-El , 400 Pasadena Ave S in St. Pete. Suggested donation of $10 per pet or $18 per family. More information.
