Pitch in for Pets with Tampa Bay Rays Pitcher Grant Balfour at SPCA Tampa Bay, 11am-1pm.
Have your photo taken and autographed by one of SPCA Tampa Bay’s biggest fans! Tampa Bay Rays Pitcher, Grant Balfour will be at the Shelter. Pets Welcome for Photos. Tampa Bay Rays fans, animal lovers and the media are invited to attend this homerun event to raise money and awareness about the importance of adopting pets from shelters and not purchasing from stores.

The Deli Diva Restaurant will also be at the Pitch In for Pets event with Human and Doggie Delicacies including the Bodacious Brownie and other Diva-licious treats. 2 different photos per session- one holiday theme (Christmas or Hanukkah) and one non-seasonal setting for year-round displaying. All sitting fees go directly to help the more than 15,000 homeless animals cared for each year by SPCA Tampa Bay. So sorry, NO refunds for missed sitting.

World Animal Remembrance Day Month, September 1st-30th
This worldwide remembrance is to respect and honor the memory of all animals; especially companion animals; victims of abuse, cruelty or neglect; those lost in natural disasters and killed in the line of duty.

National Dog Week, September 19th -25th
Founded in 1928, National Dog Week was created to educate all dog owners about their responsibilities to their pets and communities as well as recognizing animal organizations dedicated to caring for unwanted dogs.

Responsible Dog Ownership Day, September 19th
This fun day is a reminder that our 4-footed canines are part of the whole family and it is our responsibility to care for all aspects of our canine companions’ including health, diet, exercise, microchipping and IDing of our dogs.
