Animal Tales
Visitors are amazed by the variety of difficult medical conditions treated at SPCA Tampa Bay: broken bones, skin and ear infections, upper respiratory virus, heartworms, and more.
 | Cats and Kittens with upper respiratory virus are treated in the Isolation Building.
Each year we treat more than 1,000 felines for URI. |
Dogs & Puppies: In the last three years, the Charlie Brown’s Place dog kennel has been
used exclusively for rehab and behavior cases. Volunteers also foster underage puppies and kittens as well as injured adult pets that require extended recovery time. And, we also foster
animals in need in the Humane Education & Training Center. | |
When animal cruelty is suspected, SPCA Tampa Bay Humane Officers investigate and work with local law enforcement to bring charges against the offenders. These combined efforts save thousands of lives. In the last five years more than 6,000 sick and injured animals have been rehabilitated and given a second chance for life.
