    News & Announcements

Did you know that there are an estimated 132,000 feral, free roaming cats in Pinellas County alone? Help us keep their population safe and healthy by contacting our partner MEOW Now to see how you can help.

The plight of homeless animals in Pinellas County is looking up. Data gathered from four local animal welfare  organizations, including SPCA Tampa bay, is showing encouraging trends in our community. Since 2012, the number of people surrendering their pets has decreased while the number of adoptions has increased. The community-wide trends show a reduction in shelter intake, decrease in euthanasia, and an increase in adoptions.
