 Medical Department Manager ~ Full-Time Position Available

This position manages and provides operational oversight of the medical department and foster services, including personnel and fiscal management. Essential functions include: oversee treatments and daily staff assignments; manage ordering and inventory; ensure staff complying with SOP's and OSHA standards; recruit and supervise staff, including annual appraisal process; interact with public and veterinary offices on post-adoption questions.
 
Position Requirements: CVT certification required, 3-4 years of shelter experience required. Salary commensurate with experience.  Submit inquiries and resumes to RLopez@spcatampabay.org. 

 

Medical Assistant ~ Two Part-Time Positions Available

The Medical Assistants aid our nurses and veterinarian in completing tasks for our shelter population.  Essential duties include:  clean and disinfect medical work areas; routine tasks such as weighing, taking temperatures, and giving prescribed medications; perform medicated baths; and restraining animals for exams and diagnostics, among other responsibilities.
